UK GI Strategy progressing

Without much fanfare this announcement appeared on the GI Panel web site. It would seem that the UK GI Strategy – Place Matters – is going to gain ministerial approval. Long overdue but better late than never. We can expect to see the strategy published “early this year” – I wonder how far reaching the strategy will be? Happy new year

A happy new year for Doctors Lawrence and Barr who have been honoured with a CB and an OBE respectively. FOD congratulated Bob Barr noting that he is a passionate campaigner for a saner approach to the management of public sector information Somehow they missed out on the Director General of the OS’s award. Whoever hands out the gongs seems to be backing both sides of the debate.
